Okay, I LOVE to make custom designs for people and have lots of fun using my creativity.  Occassionally, I get some strange requests – and this is one funny one to share!

A friend wondered if I had any chicken themed cards?  Well, the wheels started turning – and then she asked if I could make a set of cards , and could they be blingy chickeny? ?  Not the usual, but I will pretty much make anything for anyone if they ask!

So,  here’s my interpretation of The Blingy Chicken….

More Baby Scrapbook June 23, 2010

Filed under: Baby,cricut,Cuttlebug,Scrapbooking,Spellbinders — anotherkatecreation @ 5:00 am

I know there have been several posts already, but I had so much fun doing these pages, that I just couldn’t stop!  I wanted to make the gift worthwhile and I knew that they would have other pictures besides just of thier trip to China, so I created some just baby girl pages for Teagan.

*I also forgot to mention that most of these pages were created with the GREAT magazine by Creating Keepsakes, Super-Fast Pages with 4×6 Photos Vol.2.  That way, my friend can just add the pics without even cropping them – how great is that!  And no worries, I included the magazine and tags with what way the photos can go, etc. for her to basically follow along!  With little sleep, 4 kids, and a house to run, I figured it was no-brainer scrapbooking!

Brothers and Sisters June 22, 2010

Filed under: Uncategorized — anotherkatecreation @ 5:15 am

I wanted to make the scrapbook personal, so I added some pages with Teagan’s brothers and sister’s names so that she could always look back and know how loved she was.  I wasn’t there to see it in person, but I can only imagine their little faces and how excited they were to meet their new baby sister!

Scrapping China

Here are more of the pages of the scrapbook for Teagan – I tried to collect things that would look good with their pictures from China and the “touristy” things they would see and do.  The paper just made me want to create more and more… it was a lot of fun!

adhesive – glue dots

The Scrapbook June 21, 2010

My friend, Colleen, recently adopted a baby girl from China and was gracious enough to share the experience with everyone via the wonderful internet.  How great it was to be able to ‘see’ the baby ahead of time and then to journey with them through this beautifully mysterious land.   They had so many adventures and it was a thrill to be a part of the process.

I had a hard time figuring out what to give them as a baby gift  –  I mean, they hardly need another toy, clothes or book.  They had all the equipment you need, and so I had to really rack my brain….After much thought, I decided as a gift to the family, and Teagan, I would create a scrapbook for her.  It really is meant for a starting point, as I love to scrap with Colleen but think that now that she has 4 little cherubs to take care of, scrapping time will be seriously limited!

Here are the first page of the album – and then the last page I made.  These are sometimes the hard pages to come up with something for – I fell in love with the quote and had to include it on the book.  It was made with much love and I hope to meet her sometime soon!

Supplies Used:
cardstock –  white, pink
paper – (Pebbles, MME)
stamps –
ink – chocolate (CTMH)

coloring –
accents – flowers(Prima), ribbon, buttons
adhesive – glue dots
tools –  loopy edge punch (Martha Stewart)
finished size – 12″ x 12″
