Here’s a card that’s sure to please the whole family! Smiling snowmen faces warm the season and send cheerful greeting to everyone! The mitten background is bright and fun and compliments the colorful fun that those snowmen surely are having! I attached small tags with names on them to personalize this.
Jingle Jangle July 26, 2010
Today we are sharing some time in our old neighborhood in PA and some more great friends. We are really having a good vacation and having lots of fun with everyone! Hope you are able to share some great time with your friends this summer too!
I have to say I am happy when I see the great comments you leave about my projects – THANKS for your support and kindness! It’s those things that make me want to keep designing!
Here’s a Christmas card that I was inspired to make. I really wanted to use some jingle bells in a design and thought that reindeer were the perfect compliment. Here, I tried to keep a rustic, country feel with some distressing and the natural elements such as the jute.
Warm Holiday Wishes July 23, 2010
Finding more holiday spirit today… I love being “home” here in PA and spending time with friends and family…. can’t wait to see everyone – it seems like a holiday for me to be here and able to do that! I miss you all!!!
Ok, now onto the crafting stuff…..
Here’s a card that I made with a great holiday set from Close to My Heart. I loved the set and ordered it from Beth (*shout out to beth in FL – Colleen and I were just talking about how much we miss you and your clubs!!!*) right away when it was released. I had a vision and I wanted to get right to work. Well, fast forward to actually getting the set and playing with it….. I wanted to create a ‘front foor’ look with a wreath hanging on it. I played for hours… stamping away and it just wasn’t working. I finally tipped the card horizontally and *POOF* it worked. Just goes to prove 2 things. 1. You can’t always get your visions to fruision – crafting is particularly tricky like that. and 2. soemtimes flipping things around makes it better!
I loved this card and thought it was an elegant way to greet someone. What do you think?
cardstock: tan, ivory

Oldie, but a Goodie July 22, 2010
Hi all! The kids and I have safely landed in PA – after a long delay and some baggage troubles…. and I have to say, I forgot about the humidity here – UGGG!! It hit us like a brick wall when we went for our rental car – even the kids noticed! But we are having lots of fun hanging with some great friends and playing – and of course, trying to get on a time schedule that is compatible!
since I promised some more Christmas in July inspiration – here is a card that I made a while back. I am not going to list everything since I am not even sure they make it any longer…it’s just for some inspiration of cooler days a comin’! 🙂 I am trying hard to sort thru my supplies and either use it or sell it and I love winter and the holiday stuff so i am finding it hard to just get rid of it. So this is an attempt at making something for stuff you already own! Don’t go buyin’ more until you use what you have, right?? 😉 My DH would LOVE that! But unfortunately, there aren’t enough hours in the day to get it all done and then the latest and greatest comes along that you just HAVE to have ;). SO I have a lot of forgotten papers and ideas….. I’m trying to be better and will continue. But for now enjoy an oldie, but a goodie!
To Grandmother’s House….. July 20, 2010
“Over the river and through the woods, to Grandmother’s house we go….” How many times did we sing that song as kids? In our house, my mom had a ‘song for everything’ ! ( Love you , Mom!) And this is one we sang lots during the holidays – I especially remember singing it on the way up to my Grandparents house in upstate NY when we traveled for Thanksgiving.
Since we are off today on our trip to the East Coast, I thought I’d send out this card that makes me think of heading out to Grandma’s house – even though now it is my parents house and they are the grandparents! Off to finish packing – We’ll see you all soon!!

Silly Snowmen July 19, 2010
Okay, I’m borrowing from a year ago with this card, but I just love it and think it is just full of fun. I loved creating this one – the paper just makes me smile – how cute are those little snowmen?? I think if you got this in the mail it would brighten up the holidays for sure! Something about the fun colors too – not just red and green! And everyone who knows me, knows that I love adding ribbons to everything, so this one was tons of fun!
This apeals to my younger side as well as the fun side. When I am creating for customers, I try to provide a range of cards to choose from so that everyone has something – religious, serious, glimmery, fun, fancy, etc. Then some people want a small card so they don’t ahve to write too much, and some want a long card, and others want one that a picture of the family can fit in. It gets challenging to meet everyone’s needs, but somehow I think everyone ends up happy in the end – that’s why I like the custom work.
I made this one a bigger card so that a picture could fit inside – just what one of my customers did! 😉

More Glimmer July 16, 2010
I’m back today with some more of my fun projects that ‘turned out’ from the glimmer mist experimenting 🙂 Some of the projects are from spraying over the screen and then I took the screen and flipped it onto cardstock and got a print from that (use the product!) The effects are so neat – and I think it is hard to see in the pics that they all have a shimmer effect to them. And the mix of colors is fun too – silver and blues, and pearl, more of the blue over here, silver over there….makes a neat effect that is truly original.
