FORE! September 29, 2010

Fun on the links today!  I have several golfers in my family and so I had to get this stamp when I got the chance.  It’s always a harder thing to make a card for a man and I tried to keep this one pretty simple.  Of course, I love to add ribbons, etc. to my projects and had to limit this, but I think it turned out pretty well.

Thanks for stopping by again today – hope your day is PAR-fect! 🙂  Sorry, I couldn’t resist!

Baby Kittens September 20, 2010

Every year, I take a trip to the CK Convention and usually can hit a stamp convention as well.  It is so much fun to see all the new products coming out and get a chance to play with some new techniques.  Last summer, I took a Paper Crafts class where we brought 20 cards for a swap – meaning you brought 20 and came home with 20 different ones for ideas.  This is the card I designed for the swap.  I used a Denami Design stamp set and thought that the kittens just called for a cute pink and brown coloring (some of you know that is my fav combo!)  I used lots of dots and circles and even embossed the pink strip with dots to make it all coordinate.

I always get a ton of ideas and have fun sharing my designs with others too.  I only wish it could be more than once a year!

Supplies Used:
card: white A2 (clearbags.com)
cardstock: pink, brown, white
stamps: baby kitten, dot (DeNami designs); baby dots (unknown)
ink: blush, chocolate (CTMH)
tools: cuttlebug machine and swiss dots embossing folder (Provocraft); circle and scalloped circle nesties (Spellbinders)
fibers: ribbon (American Crafts)

How special it is to get something personalized on your special day!  Here are more of my letters and these were specially made for older kids that have special interests or a color scheme.  Bright pink, flowers and ribbons of all kind adorn the girly one, while the guys are sporty and simple.

So now that you have seen a few ideas this week, you can see how I love to make them each individual and how it makes a SUPER special gift for whoever is receiving it!

Hope you enjoy your weekend, whatever it may bring!

A to Z – What Will It Be? September 15, 2010

Hello Happy Campers!

Another letter for you to see today – here’s one I did for a baby boy and I just loved the colors of  it.  I guess I just enjoy making things for little ones now that my kids are grown and don’t have all the cutsie baby items any longer. 😦  Living vicariously thru my customers!

Maybe you know a special kid that would like one???  Or a friend who is having a baby???

Just let me know and I can make one up for you for only $8.00.  Your choice of letter, colors and decor!

What’s Your Letter? September 13, 2010

I know I have been lagging in the posts lately – it’s just been pretty hectic around here with three kiddos to get off to school, my fitness bootcamp, and the after school activities starting up – I hope you can forgive me.

The project I am showcasing today is a project that I love to do – because it is SO customized and I like to make them special for the recipient.  They are a big wooden letter that has been decorated in papers, ribbons and accessories and a name is stamped on them.  I have made some for birthday gifts, for friends and family, but I get many orders for them for a baby gift.  What a  great thing to send with a gift card – it’s something personalized for the baby (and what new parent doesn’t LOVE to see their baby’s name on something?) and makes a cute addition to any kids room.

Now for the ones in the picture:

I made these for an order of a family with 3 girls that share the same room.  SHe wanted them to be coordinating, but not ‘matchy-matchy’.  I think they came out adorable and I just had to snap a pic before I handed them over.   I hope Brooke, Bethany and Brenna were happy with them – see what you think:

Over the next week or so, I’ll show you some other ideas that I have done…
